Isokinetic sampling of atmospheric emission at the pulp mill and energy production plant

The emissions isokinetic sampling was made to analyze diverse parameters at the three main plant´s chimneys. Samples were taken at the recovery boiler and lime klin to analyze metals (Pb, Cr, Cd, Ni, Cu, Hg) and dioxins and furans, and for analysis of semi-volatile organic compounds. (SVOC), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) and dioxins and furans at the biomass boiler. The methodologies of the Environmental Protection Agency of the USA were applied (EPA-USA). The samples were analyzed by a foreign ISO/IEC 17.025 norm-certification accredited laboratory. The parameters O2, CO, CO2 and humidity were also monitored on site using an automatic equipment.
