Estrategic Plan for Management of Sludges from Potabilization Plants and Wastewater Tretament Plants

The specific objectives of the consultancy are: Establishment of the baseline regarding the sludge quantification and characterization, as well as its actual management, Study of the sludge production, based on macroeconomic projection and other technical criteria (e.g.: expansions of the potable water systems and sewage of OSE), Identification and analysis of management alternatives for the short, medium and long term considering growth plans, regulatory restrictions (current and potential), technical, social, environmental and economic restrictions, Alternatives evaluation, through economic, environmental, social and institutional criteria, Recommendation of the alternative and action lines that best fit to the reality of the country and OSE, concluding the possible strategies for the sludge management approach, and Recommendations on the management model and financing of plan.
