An executive engineer with 20+ years of experience leading across diverse industries such as Consumer Goods, Food, Commodities, Energy, and Construction. Currently, Sebastian drives energy strategy as both the Energy Head at CSI Global and the VP of Energy & Power at Redtree in USA. He also holds key board positions, serving as a Member of Board for the National Administration Electricity Market and as President of the Association of Large Industrial Energy Consumers.

Throughout his career, he has successfully managed high-value assets and led multidisciplinary teams to achieve results in complex environments with expertise in energy management, energy policies, operations, engineering, project management, and supply chain under continuous improvement.

Astidey Wind Farm

Site development, permits, financial structuring, conceptual design, detailed design, and construction management of works within the sites (mass grading, civil & structural, MEI erection) as well as utilities (substations and high voltage lines). Equity investors in Astidey 50 MW Wind Farm.

UTE Solar Farm “Punta del Tigre”

We carried out the detailed engineering of both the civil and electromechanical aspects of this project, which was a potential expansion from 30MW to 65MW, for the National Utility Company.

Hydrogen Production Facility

This facility is set to begin operations in 2025, boasting a production capacity of over 7,300 metric tons per year, as part of an energy transition portfolio. The project scope includes the layout and BOP equipment including, biomass handling and storing as well as options for H2 and CO2 compression and transportation away from the site.

Substation

Development of the basic and detailed engineering of the expansion of a 150 kV station for a connection from the Wind Farm to the utility grid, comprehending 150 kV section and the building expansion.

Biocarbon Production Facility

Facility’s production capability of more than 150,000 metric tons per year. Includes wood handling, pyrolysis and pelletizing processes.

Montevideo Traffic Mobility Center

Design, installation, engineering & data processing services, operation, and maintenance of the Montevideo Traffic Mobility Center.

Carrasco Airport Solar Farm

1,520 solar panels installed on a structure with a 1-axis tracker. The tracking system allows more solar radiation to be captured, thus increasing the energy production of the photovoltaic modules. This achieves a power output of 471.2 kWp.

High voltage lines

A 150 kV double-terminal high-voltage line for the Uruguayan energy Utility.
The executive project for the high-voltage line consists of a 22 km double-terminal line, and 50 metallic towers with their civil bases and earthing systems.

Medium voltage power distribution

Engineering project for the Medium Voltage distribution for the plant from the UTE supply and the connection to a 13.8 kV generator, owned by ALUR.
