Last weekend an unprecedented logistic operation took place in Uruguay: the transfer of a 300-ton, 60-meter long and 6-meter high distillery tower from the CIR metallurgical plant to the Port of Montevideo, where it began its journey to Argentina.
We accompanied this challenge from the beginning, providing engineering, planning and technology during all its stages to ensure a safe and efficient transfer. The work involved more than two years of studies and preparation, which included:
Preliminary route studies, developed over more than two years.
Structural analysis of bridges to verify their load capacity.
Identification of more than 150 interferences and resolution of critical points in the path.
Drone surveys and generation of 3D models of obstacles.
Simulations of complex maneuvers using specialized software.
Design of temporary road works for the adaptation of the environment.
Planning of traffic detours to ensure safety and fluidity during the tour.
This operation represents a historic milestone for engineering in Uruguay and reflects the value of collaborative work between companies and highly specialized technical teams.
