Energy
Detailed design for a 100 MW wind farm.

In line with our commitment to the energy transition, we were responsible for the detailed design of a new 100 MW wind farm located in the Flores region of Uruguay.

This project represented a key step in strengthening renewable energy in Uruguay and showcased our ability to comprehensively manage works of great technical and territorial complexity.

Scope of the project

Our work covered the detailed design of both the wind farm itself and the connection facilities required to integrate it into the national power grid.

In particular, our team was in charge of:

Wind farm

  • Environmental studies to determine the optimal location of 25 wind turbines.
  • Design of access roads from National Route No. 3 and the internal pavements of the wind farm.
  • Design of foundations for the wind turbines.
  • Design of the substation, including civil, road, and electromechanical works (equipment yard and control building).

Connection works

  • Cerro Colorado Substation: civil, road, and electromechanical design for the equipment yard and control building.
  • Trinidad Substation: expansion design for the existing equipment yard and control building.
  • 150 kV High-Voltage Line: route definition, topographic surveys, land surveying, and civil design of tower foundations and structures.

We also managed the permitting and licensing processes with UTE, ensuring regulatory compliance and the operational feasibility of the project.
