Engineering design for the installation of a wood molding production plant, to be located on a site of approximately 1 hectare within an existing warehouse belonging to the RAS Group in the Ruta 5 Industrial Park (Canelones). The project involves upgrading the current infrastructure to meet operational efficiency and industrial safety standards, with an estimated electricity consumption of approximately 2.5 MW.
Scope
It covers the initial stages of design, planning, and legal regulation, as detailed in:
Design and Engineering: Adjustments, optimization of the industrial layout, and development of preliminary and project engineering for the production line.
Permits and Administration: Processing and obtaining the necessary authorizations and permits from the Canelones Departmental Government.
To Be Determined: Final water and raw material consumption (to be determined once more information is available).
Impact
The project enables the conversion and utilization of existing logistics and industrial infrastructure (part of the RAS Group’s asset base), transforming it into a large-scale timber production facility (2.5 MW). It also ensures the legal and regulatory viability of the venture in the department of Canelones and lays the technical groundwork for an efficient, safe, and scalable operation once the missing resources and inputs have been fully quantified.
