We provided consulting services to optimize the operations of the Integrated Control Center (CCI) at the Pedro de Alvarado border post on the Guatemala-El Salvador border. This is a key point for trade between the two countries and for the transit of goods between Central America and Mexico.
Our study focused on a comprehensive proposal. First, we conducted a complete diagnosis of the situation at the border post. Then, we designed and validated an optimal proposal to implement the CCI.
Based on this proposal, we developed the procedures manuals, management and control systems, and the adaptation of the regulatory framework and physical structure. We also conducted demand and technical, economic, financial and environmental feasibility analyses.
Project impact
The proposal for this border control center will contribute to the physical and commercial integration of Guatemala and El Salvador. This will facilitate regional trade and promote economic development beyond the border areas.
