We were contracted to develop the Detailed Design and Construction Management of a new rice parboiling plant with a capacity of 40 tons per hour. The plant, of 6,000 square meters and 50 meters high, is located in Wenzhen, in the province of Jiangxi, China.

Within the framework of the project, we carried out several tasks:

• Analysis and study of rice seeds for plant design.
• Definition of the general layout.
• Preparation of technical specifications for the acquisition of processing equipment (maceration, cooking, drying), transportation and storage, among others.
• Detailed engineering for the service facilities, which include steam, hot water, compressed air and two boilers using rice husk as fuel.
• Detailed engineering for electrical installation and process automation.
• Drafting of bidding documents for civil works, electromechanical assembly and control.
• Supervision of equipment assembly, electrical installation, piping and control.
• Training of personnel for plant operation.
• Commissioning and start-up of the plant and boilers.

The success of this project demonstrated our ability to manage large-scale projects on an international scale, strengthening our position as an engineering company.
