Detailed Engineering for the Photovoltaic Solar Park

We developed the detailed engineering for UTE’s Melo Solar Photovoltaic Park, a renewable energy power plant with a rated capacity of 75 MW located in the department of Cerro Largo. Our role included the comprehensive technical design of the park and the preparation of the necessary documentation for its construction, ensuring coordination among all disciplines involved.

The project involved the development of engineering solutions aimed at optimizing the plant’s performance and ensuring its proper integration during the construction phase.

Scope of the project

We develop:

  • Detailed engineering for the solar farm, including the layout of panels, inverters, and substations.
  • Energy production simulation and design of medium- and low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Civil engineering for internal roadways, earthwork, and storm drainage.
  • Structural design, architecture, BIM modeling, and plumbing, electromechanical, grounding, fire protection, and low-voltage systems.
  • Preparation of calculation reports, construction drawings, technical specifications, bills of materials, and interdisciplinary coordination.

Impact of the Project

Through this project, we are contributing to the development of new strategic infrastructure for renewable energy generation in Uruguay. Our engineering expertise enabled us to integrate multiple disciplines into an efficient technical solution, laying the groundwork for the construction of a plant that will strengthen the country’s energy mix with clean, sustainable energy.
