Development of Renewable Energy Projects

We are involved in the development of three renewable energy projects in Uruguay, with the possibility of adding a fourth project, each with an estimated capacity of 100 MW. Our involvement focused on identifying, analyzing, and structuring technically viable and competitive solar and wind power generation initiatives, providing comprehensive support from the initial stages of development.

Using a multidisciplinary approach, we conduct technical studies, feasibility analyses, and conceptual engineering, working closely with the client to evaluate alternatives and prepare projects for future bidding and implementation phases.

Scope of the project

We develop:

  • Site prospecting and evaluation for solar and wind projects.
  • Analysis of renewable energy resources and preliminary assessment of grid connection points.
  • Identification of exclusion zones, cadastral analysis, and land cost estimates.
  • Conceptual civil and electrical engineering, preliminary layouts, and energy production estimates.
  • Feasibility, logistics, and accessibility studies for wind energy projects.
  • Technical support during bidding processes and coordination of specialized studies, including measurement campaigns, environmental studies, surveying, geotechnical engineering, and interconnection.

Impact of the Project

Through this project, we are helping to create new opportunities for renewable energy generation in Uruguay by providing the technical support needed to identify viable and competitive projects. Our engineering expertise helped reduce uncertainties in the early stages of development and lay the groundwork for future investments that will strengthen the transition toward a more sustainable energy mix.
