We carried out the Baseline Study and Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the future Omega Green biofuels production plant, located in the district of Villeta, Asunción, Paraguay. The complex, designed to produce advanced biofuels such as hydrogen-treated vegetable oil, Synthetic Paraffinic Kerosene (SPK) and other renewable fuels, will have a processing capacity of 20,000 barrels of feedstock per day on a site of approximately 300 hectares.
In this consultancy we conducted environmental monitoring of biodiversity, groundwater, air quality (particulate matter and gaseous emissions) and noise. The ESIA included a description of the project and its surroundings, as well as an assessment of the environmental and social impacts during the construction, operation and abandonment phases.
We also identified and proposed mitigation measures, analyzed alternatives and prepared the Social Management Plan, ensuring a comprehensive and responsible approach to project development.
