We carried out the detailed engineering for the replacement of a section of the 150-kV Paysandú–Young overhead transmission line, between towers 48 and 53, which was affected by an incident that required the replacement of structures, foundations, conductors, and ADSS cable.

Our involvement encompassed the structural and electromechanical engineering required to rebuild the section, in accordance with UTE’s technical specifications. The project included the design of the new foundations, verification of the planimetric and altimetric surveys, calculation of mechanical stresses, and the design of the conductor system and the fiber-optic cable.

Scope of the project

We develop:

  • Structural engineering for the new S2, SE5, and R15 towers, including foundation design, calculation reports, and construction drawings.
  • Electromechanical engineering for the design of conductors, ground wire, and ADSS cable; tension and sag calculations; verification of mechanical stresses; and connection of the new section to the existing line.
  • Complete technical documentation for the execution of the project.

Impact of the Project

Our engineering expertise made it possible to restore a key section of UTE’s power transmission network, providing reliable solutions tailored to the terrain. In this way, we helped strengthen the continuity and reliability of the power supply through a project carried out in accordance with the highest technical standards.
