We were responsible for designing, installing, and operating an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) to carry out the statistical survey of traffic along more than 8,600 km of national highways. The main objective was to generate key information for the planning, management, and evaluation of the road infrastructure.

The project included the installation of more than 80 fixed and portable stations for classified traffic counts, weigh-in-motion (WIM), image analysis with artificial intelligence, and WiFi/Bluetooth signal detection. It was complemented with manual counts, Origin-Destination surveys, and the development of dedicated software for data processing and analysis.

Among the services provided, we highlighted:

• Design and installation of civil, electrical, and electronic infrastructure
• Continuous 24/7 operation of monitoring stations
• Statistical processing and quality control of data
• Periodic calibration of equipment
• Development of a database and integrated analysis system

This system, certified under ISO 9001, provided essential inputs for demand studies, road safety, investment evaluation, and transportation management nationwide.
