Technical Assistance and Engineering Services for Renewable Energy Project Development

We provided technical assistance and engineering services for the development of renewable energy projects in Uruguay, working alongside the Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure Ltd. team. Our services were delivered under a Time and Material (T&M) model, providing a multidisciplinary team that adapted to the requirements of each project stage.

We assigned specialists in renewable energy, electrical engineering, structural engineering, solar energy, wind energy, and project management, coordinated by a dedicated Project Manager. This approach enabled the flexible allocation of technical resources to support both specific engineering needs and complete project phases, backed by specialized software for renewable energy analysis, simulation, and design.

Scope of the project

Our services included:

  • Engineering support for the development of renewable energy projects.
  • Assignment of specialized professionals based on the client’s project requirements.
  • Technical coordination and project oversight through a dedicated Project Manager.
  • Engineering support in electrical engineering, structural engineering, solar energy, wind energy, and related technical disciplines.
  • Use of specialized software, including WINDPro, PVCase, PVSyst, ETAP, and PSS®E, for project modeling, simulation, and technical analysis.

Key activities included:

  • Basic engineering.
  • Preparation of technical reports.
  • Energy production studies using WINDPro and PVSyst.
  • Site analysis for project development.
  • Processing and analysis of wind measurement data.
  • Technical advisory services for wind resource measurement campaigns.
  • Grid capacity studies to assess available interconnection capacity for renewable energy projects.

Impact of the Project

Our involvement strengthened the development of renewable energy projects by providing specialized technical assistance through a flexible delivery model tailored to the client’s needs. The multidisciplinary approach, combined with internationally recognized engineering and simulation tools, enhanced technical evaluations, reduced project uncertainty, and supported informed decision making for the development of more efficient and sustainable energy projects.
