Design evaluation and Review – UNILA, Foz de Iguazu

We participated in the project of the Universidade Federal da Integração Latino-Americana – UNILA, located in Foz de Iguazu, Brazil, an institution established in 2007 by the Brazilian Government. Phase 1 of the construction included classroom buildings, an administrative building, a dining facility, and a utilities plant, while Phase 2 comprised a library, a theater, and a laboratory.

Our work covered the evaluation of the site and existing buildings, assessing the condition of the structures and the geotechnical conditions of the site. We reviewed both the original design and the updated design, including architecture, structural engineering, civil engineering, and MEP design.

We conducted coordination meetings for the design review and prepared a final report with the conclusions and recommendations required for the advancement of the project.

Through our participation, we helped ensure that UNILA’s facilities were developed on solid and safe foundations, optimizing the designs and guaranteeing that the infrastructure meets the highest technical and building standards. This work supports the growth of a key institution for integration and academic development in Latin America.
