We were hired by the city of Nueva Palmira to develop the executive projects for several major roadworks. We were responsible for designing the city’s bypass, the junctions with routes 12 and 21, and the land access roads to the port. Additionally, we designed the bridge over the Sauce Creek and the preliminary design for a grade-separated interchange on Route 12.
The project included several key tasks:
In addition, we conducted soil, traffic, and demand studies to determine the functionality of the solutions. We analyzed the capacity and service levels of the intersections, and evaluated accidents and the impact of the improvements. The project also included social studies, pedestrian mobility studies, and an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
Project Impact
The detailed planning for this bypass and its accesses improved traffic flow and safety in the area. This will facilitate port operations and vehicle flow at a key logistical point for the region.
