Administration, supervision and control of wastewater treatment plants

Our work was to supervise the executive project of a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). The plant was designed for an average flow of 330 l/s, with three treatment lines of 110 l/s each. In this first stage, we built the plant to treat 220 l/s. A 6.78 km treated water outfall was also constructed.

What our work covered

The project had several objectives:

  • Supervision of the executive project: We made sure that the design was correct.
  • Supervision and quality control: We control the execution of the work to comply with the standards.
  • Physical and financial control: We monitored the physical and financial progress of the work.
  • Testing and operation: We supervised the performance and capacity tests. We also supervised the start-up and operation of the plant for four months.
  • Reporting and communication: We generate reports and support the client in communicating with all parties involved.

The quality of the treated water complied with NOM-003-ECOL-1997. The treated sludge complied with NOM-004-SEMARNAT-2002 for class “B” sludge.

Our supervision ensured the correct construction and operation of a treatment plant. This allowed for efficient sanitation that meets environmental standards.
