Supervision of the Design and Construction of Port Infrastructure, Pier C

We were contracted to supervise the design and construction of the new Pier C, a 330-meter-long multipurpose berth designed to accommodate oceangoing vessels. The project also included a 3.5-hectare esplanade, along with complementary facilities and related works essential for safe and efficient operation.

Our Scope:

    • We conducted the legal, technical, environmental, and financial monitoring of the works, reporting directly to the ANP’s (National Ports Administration) Construction Management.

    • We accompanied and reviewed the development of the executive project prepared by the contractor.

    • We supervised temporary tasks, such as site layout, construction of the work camp, access roads, and the installation of services (potable water and electricity).

    • We were in charge of supervising the dredging works for the basin and the maneuvering circle.

    • We closely monitored the preparation of the as-built plans and verified their correct execution.

    • We carried out the final inspection of the completed works and facilities, providing advice on corrective measures for any potential defects and ensuring their proper resolution.

Impact:

With this project, we contributed to strengthening the country’s port infrastructure, ensuring a high-quality execution with demanding technical and environmental standards and a rigorous control approach at every stage.
