Transportation Infrastructure
Basic engineering project for the national module of the Capurro Port.

We developed the advanced basic engineering project for a new fishing terminal for the national fleet. The project included the design of the port layout, where we defined the maneuvering areas, docks, operation and service esplanades, parking and road accesses.

In addition, we design the port works and service facilities, such as drinking water networks, electrical system, lighting, fuel supply, rainwater drainage and fire protection systems.

The execution phases

To achieve this, we divided the project into several phases. First, we conducted a background study and gathered the necessary information. We analyzed the available bathymetric, geotechnical and environmental data, and surveyed the companies and the fishing fleet. We also executed a complementary topography.

Next, we moved on to the study of alternatives. We analyzed different dock configurations and depths, considering the specifications of the specifications and the types of vessels that would operate in the terminal in the short, medium and long term.

In the engineering phase, we develop the infrastructure and facilities at an advanced basic level. We prepare the descriptive reports, calculations and technical specifications of materials and construction methods. We prepare the corresponding drawings and a preliminary investment budget.

Finally, we conducted a land accessibility analysis and a traffic study. We evaluated several road access alternatives and studied the vehicular flow to identify the most convenient solution.

Conclusion

The advanced basic engineering project laid the foundation for a modern and efficient port infrastructure. This will allow a safer and more productive operation for the national fishing fleet.
