Project management for the construction and installation of a new industrial facility called the “Sala de Sales” (Salts Room), covering approximately 2,800 m², located adjacent to the New Warehouse Project and its concentrate plant in Colonia, Uruguay. The facility will house an assembly line, storage areas for raw materials and products, processing rooms with new filling machines (combined and Kramsa models), rooms for manual operations, dyes, and bags, offices, an MCC room, and a technical area for AHU units and hot water generation.
Scope
It consists of providing Project Management Office (PMO) services to coordinate, integrate, and supervise the various contractors and key suppliers involved:
D&B Contractor: Directly responsible for the overall management of the project and the execution of construction.
Warehouse Supplier: Responsible for the structural design and supply of construction materials.
POVAL: Responsible for the design, supply of materials, and on-site installation of the fire protection system.
Circular: Responsible for the design of the automation system, the supply of materials, and on-site installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
Supervised installations: Coordination of hot water generation systems, drainage, rainwater collection, and general electrical and electromechanical systems.
Impact
The project significantly expands the operational and packaging capacity of the concentrates plant in Colonia by integrating automated and manual filling lines under a single logistics facility. The centralized management service ensures proper coordination and risk mitigation among multiple specialized contractors (construction, automation, HVAC, and fire protection), ensuring that the new 2,800 m² plant is completed on schedule, with strict quality control and in compliance with the industrial safety standards required for the handling and processing of salts.
