For the expansion of the Nueva Palmira Terminal, we performed the detailed engineering of the new facilities. The project included extending the pier and building a new berth. We also developed the onshore infrastructure for iron ore handling.

We take care of the design of several key areas:

• Technical projects: We carried out the hydraulic project of the treatment plant and the electrical project. We also designed the structures of the ground works, such as the stacker-reclaimer, the conveyor belts and the foundations for tanks and cranes.
• Coordination: We take care of the technical coordination of the project, general planning and information on the status of the work.
• Document management: We create the communications plan, manage a SharePoint site and take care of the documentation schedule and distribution.

We prepare and deliver all construction documents, including technical specifications and memories.

The detailed planning of this port expansion allowed for a coordinated and efficient construction process. This increased the terminal’s capacity and improved the infrastructure for cargo handling.
