We carried out a consultancy to improve the accesses to the city of Treinta y Tres. Our work consisted of designing proposals to improve the hierarchy of the entrances to the city through the construction or modification of junctions, avenues, hydraulic drainage and road signs.

Tasks we perform

For this project, we performed several technical tasks:

• Topographical and expropriation studies.
• Hydrological and hydraulic studies to resolve drainage.
• Lighting project, which was adapted to the new needs.
• Executive road project for accesses.

Scope of the project

The study focused on the main accesses to the city. For intersections, we proposed the construction of traffic circles and, in some cases, the modification of existing ones. For avenues, we analyzed the current problems and proposed solutions such as widening flowerbeds, modifying turning junctions and placing curbs. In one specific case, at the client’s request, we designed the transformation of a single lane into a double lane with a median separator. For all these works, we studied the storm drainage and upgraded the existing lighting.

Project impact

The detailed planning of these improvements provided a roadmap for modernizing the entrances to Treinta y Tres. This will contribute to smoother and safer traffic, improving the first impression of the city for residents and visitors.
