We were hired by the Andean Development Corporation (CAF) to provide consulting services in the supervision of the products derived from the studies for the New Raw Water Intake and Piping of AySA’s General Belgrano Drinking Water Treatment Plant. Our work consisted of verifying compliance with the technical engineering criteria, as well as with the regulations and specifications in force.
We reviewed the preliminary studies and technical documentation, including the analysis of basic and detailed engineering, descriptive and calculation memories, economic evaluations, and environmental and social impact studies. We critically analyzed the proposed construction methodology, suggesting improvements, and reviewed the physical execution schedules, budgets and technical specifications.
We also reviewed the bidding project and the bidding documents, ensuring that the information was sufficient, that the budgets had the required level of detail, that the work deadlines were adequate and that the technical specifications complied with the technical and legal regulations in force.
With this work, we reinforce our commitment to the rigorous supervision of strategic water supply projects, contributing to the quality and viability of key works for the country’s infrastructure.
