As part of the LTA contract signed with UNOPS, we carried out the first review cycle of the graphic and written documentation for the Rehabilitation Project of the Kabul National Military Hospital.
The hospital has 100 beds (80 for men and 20 for women), housing for 20 AFAMS students, a six-story reinforced concrete main building (8,003.65 m²), and a one-story service building (283.14 m²). The facility is used by both military and civilian personnel.
Project scope
We reviewed the design and documentation of the architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, roadway, geotechnical, and fire protection disciplines. The review included design concepts and assumptions, safety and functionality risks (ventilation, waste management, building layout), compliance with codes and technical specifications, as well as the consistency of the structural design with the geotechnical studies.
We also evaluated the MEP/HVAC systems (fire protection, wastewater, power supply, ICT, stormwater drainage, medical gases, generators, and fuels) and the civil engineering solutions (site functionality, drainage, parking areas, pavements, and associated infrastructure).
