At CSI we continue to expand our commitment to sustainable development and engineering at the service of people. On this occasion, we were selected to provide technical advice on the Master Plans and Executive Projects aimed at solving the challenges of drinking water supply and sanitation in five localities in Angola: Andulo, Chitembo and Catabola (Bié Province), Mussende (Cuanza Sul Province) and Cambundi Catembo (Malanje Province), as part of Lot 6.
With a 25-year projection, we developed integral solutions adapted to local realities, which included:
We design the necessary infrastructure to ensure access to safe water, including:
Identification and definition of raw water sources.
Catchment, treatment and distribution projects.
Five intake works in surface water courses.
Drinking water treatment plants with capacities ranging from 60 to 900 m³/h.
Adduction pipelines from 800 to 3000 meters in length.
Reservoirs, distribution networks, chafarices and household connections.
We proposed solutions adapted to the local context, including:
Individual systems with latrines and waterproof tanks for housing.
Collective changing rooms with septic tank treatment and infiltration into the ground.
Integral design of networks that guarantee adequate sanitary conditions in the long term.
Our work was structured in three main stages:
Initial diagnosis, with survey and analysis of existing information, and projection of needs.
Master Plans, with definition of the general drinking water and sanitation solutions for 25 years.
Executive Project, with detailed design, cost study and preparation of the Terms of Reference and Technical Specifications for the contracting of the works.
This project reinforces our international expertise in essential infrastructure planning and design, and we are proud to contribute quality technical solutions to improve the quality of life of communities.
